RAT per NFPA 72 is a acronym for Radio Alarm Transmitter. This portable FireRat takes things one-step further. The FireRat was designed to address the age-old problem of rekindles in structural fires, particularly in concealed spaces with difficult overhaul. In the past when a structural fire was extinguished, a decision had to be made, in case of a rekindle, whether to leave a truck and personnel at the site for a period of time The FireRat was conceived for this purpose and more. It has the ability to detect and quickly report a fire automatically. All detectors are wireless and the system can be quickly setup and put into service. The FireRat supports wireless detectors such as smoke, heat and water flow. These detectors can be placed directly in the area to be monitored. Manual pull stations and horn/strobes are also available if used as a temporary Fire System. The wireless detectors operate on 900Mhz and have the ability to penetrate walls including concrete and steel and have a line of sight range in excess of five football fields |
